This pfeil Brass 450g (1 lb.) Carving Mallet is designed to provide the detail carver with a precise, controllable impact without rebound on a carving tool, while being easy on the wrist and elbow. This is a well-balanced mallet that is not for striking or making bug cuts but rather for lightly tapping when making very controlled detailing cuts. Overall length is slightly more than 7-1/2″, with a head diameter of 47mm (1.85″).
